Microsft Update error message/MY XP Pro thinks it is a Mac RRS feed

  • Question

. Please also provide a short description of the issue you are experiencing.:

I had  problem after running one of those window cleaners,  I had to repair my disk using the chkdsk/p function after hooking up the disc of my XP operating sysem.  (I was stuck in a reboot loop.) I was ready to take out the disc but it is now unesssary. I fixed it and can now reboot and access the internet.  When I went to windows update it gave the error mesage that it thought I was a MAC.

Step 2 is telling us about the COA. Tell us:

    1. What edition of Windows XP is it for, Home, Pro, or Media Center? Windows XP Pro

    2. Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering? I think it is OEM Software

    3. Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?

    4. DO NOT post the Product Key.

    5. Please also provide a short description of the issue you are experiencing.:   Here is the genuine update report written down.  It does not let me copy it to clipboard or elsewhere:
