i have just bought my self a second hand laptop and when i got it home i kept getting pop ups saying it was not gunuine. I dont have a clue what i can do seen as tho it was on the computer when i got it, and dont have the disc that it was installed with.

You have a Dell installation of Win 7 on an Acer PC enabled by a hacker's Loader program,The PC is over a year too old to be able to run an OEM_SLP installation of Win 7 anyhow.You need to claim a refund from the vendor.If you want/have to keep the machine, you should be able to get Recovery disks for the original OS from AcerIf you want to continue using Win 7 on it, you should buy legal Product, and reinstall - you cannot be sure what else was installed at the same time as the counterfeit.

Possibly, as Noel explained, the resolution to this issue is to contact Acer and get the Windows Recovery Software specific to that PC.
Once you use that Recovery Software, it will install whatever version of Windows (likely Vista) that was originally on that PC, when it left the factory.
