Order Product Totals RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I want to be able to run a report that looks up all order products & quantities for a give period of time.

If had a look around via Advanced Find as well as look at existing reports but cant seem to find anything.

What would be the best approach to this?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

Create a report on the order product entity.

    Then add the required columns.

To set the dates for you given period you could use the below conditions for example:

This newly created report could help you.

  • Thanks for taking the effort to respond Payman,

    That worked

however i was wondering how the data/report could show just the total quantity of each item?

    for example Order 1 has product a quantity 2,  Order 2 has product a quantity 2 & Order 3 has product a quantity 2.

I was hoping the view would just show product a with a quantity of 6.

currently it is showing 3 lines with each order.

I did try grouping but this adds a ugly section that still shows individual items under the total.

I just want to see data appear like the standard Order section.

    Thanks again

  • At the above mentioned reply in picture 1, at the top of the layout you see a grouping. Group the products based on the the existing product. Then, at the columns section select the data summary as sum.

  • Hi Payman,

how can I just show product totals only?

    currently we are seeing

    product a

    order 10 quantity 2

    order 48 quantity 4

    Summary quantity 6

  • that didn't work unfortunately.

its like we need to hide or collapse the detail

other problem is that product group only has a summary option of count & not sum

    a couple of my attempts

  • Instead of working with the Report Wizard, I'd recommend trying charts and dashboards instead. Although by default there's no navigation item available to give you access to a view of Order Products, you can still present these as components on a dashboard.

In the example below, I've got a simple custom chart created for the Order Product entity that lists the quantity per Existing Product. You can also adjust the filters by making the chart view adjustable on the dashboard.
