CRM website was down... RRS feed

  • When we got in this morning our CRM sites was down.  What would cause this? Why would we need to restart our MS CRM Asynchronous Processing Service? Then everything was okay again.

    Error number we are getting is 0x8004A106

  • What version of CRM are you running, this was an issue with CRM 4 it seems. Following was the way to fix it back then.

    1-Make sure "Microsoft CRM Asynchronous Processing Service" is running.(start>run type services.msc)
    2-Execute Microsoft.Crm.Tools.WRPCKeyRenewal.exe with parameter /R ( Microsoft.Crm.Tools.WRPCKeyRenewal.exe /R ) from
    "\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Tools"( for example - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Tools )

    Also it was important to reset the IIS afterwards.

  • We are actually using CRM 2011

  • Current version I assume upgraded from crm 4.0?

    The tool should still be available in CRM 2011 and should work there also.

    And like always, I do recommend taking backups before doing anything.
