CLSID in registry for the referenced 32 bit dlls are not getting created in WINDOWS 2008 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We are migrating from windows 2000 server to windows 2008 R2 server.

Faced Runtime error 429 "ActiveX component can't create object" When tried to execute the Vb 6.0 32 bit exe which is referring a custom 32 bit dll in the local path.

Tried  process monitoring tool "Procmon.exe" and found that the CLSID's for the reference dlls are not found in the HKCR\registry. Also tried executing with Administrator privileges.

How to solve this problem. Because we don't register manually in the registry as we are having many dlls. Any additional update to be installed?

    Any help is highly appreciated.
