Media center extender won't connect after installing sp3? RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I recently started having problems with my Dell Media Center PC - the genuine windows validation tool won't work anymore and now my media center extender won't connect.  It has worked just fine for years.  Seems like the problem started after I updated to SP3?  The media center extender gives me the following error message:  "There is a problem with the Microsoft product activation on the media center computer.  Error 00110003"

    Any help would be appreciated.

    1.  Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 SP3

    2.  The COA does NOT say OEM or OEM Product

    3.  The COA DOES have the DELL logo on it
