Why does it say that my subscription expired if I just bought it? RRS feed

    I just bought Windows Live Onecare and I already installed on my computer but it says that my subscription has expired.


    How is that possible?

  • If you bought a retail boxed version of OneCare, you will need to activate your subscription. Click the Subscribe Now button and sign in to your Windows Live ID account, then choose "Prepaid Key" as a payment method when asked. Enter the product key that's inside the retail pack, and this should activate your subscription for you.

    If you purchased/have already activated online, you will need to sign in to OneCare with the same LiveID that you used to purchase/activate OneCare. This should update the subscription status within OneCare.

  • If your subscription to OneCare shows expired in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About...

    If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
