Problem with using 32-bit on work machine and 64-bit at home? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been having some issues with SyncToy corrupting files when I transfer from work (32-bit system) to home (64-bit system).  I'm running the appropriate version of SyncToy on both.  Is there some reason that it would create problems?

  • Hi brown.stonefly,

We have not seen any functional problem that caused by CPU Architecture, except some upgrade issues, before. And the SyncToy installed on one machine should not influence the SyncToy running on another machine. You problem might be caused by some other reasons. Would you mind describe your issues in more details?

I hope you can provide the following information:
     1. The SyncToy version you were using.
     2. The OS and file format (NTFS/FAT32?) that were hold the 2 folders. And on which OS SyncToy were running when your issues happened.
     3. The sync mode and additional settings (if any) you were using.
     4. The unexpected behavior you were found.
