'Completing' emails and working with queue's RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

The company I work for has just started to use Dynamics and I wondered whether there was any way to actually mark an email as complete (similar to a task or other activity).

The 'issue' I have is that all we seem to do is remove the email from the queue, but as this can still be located there's no real indicator (that I can locate) showing that the email has been dealt with.

Any ideas? If there is no complete indicator how do you best deal with this scenario?

    Thanks

  • E-Mails are always completed. Cause the moment you are receiving or you are sending you don´t have a status like on other activity entities.

If you work with queues you work with queue items. Actually this is a new record linked to your original email. So you have your E-Mails and you have E-Mail Queue items. Hope this helps

  • Hello,

In this condition use the "Sent" and "Received" status and status reason. Because in these states the entity is read only.
