Can't Update to windows 10 anniversary! error 80070002 - 20007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a surface pro 3 and ive been trying to update to windows 10 anniversary for the bash shell. Here is what usually happens: when I update from the windows updater it downloads and installs fine. When I restart it installs and then once it restarts again it quits and starts loading up saying "restoring your previous version of windows".

What I have tried: Clean booting and trying again, holding the power and up volume button simultaneously, downloading the update tool from microsofts website(this is where I got the error code in the title). I also went through and have a readable data log that I cant decipher.  Ill post it.

I don't know what to do and I'm about to just clean update. It keeps failing and its driving me insane.
