    Hi, i'm using CRM 4.0. I need to know the difference between Append and Append To permission. Also if anyone can tell me where can i read about permissions and security in CRM 4.0

    Append & Append To go hand in hand, but they reflect opposite sides of associating 1 record to another via a 1:n relationship.    Append is needed on the "child" entity and Append To is needed on the parent.  So, if you think about Sales Order & Sales Order Item, you need Append on Sales Order Item and Append To on Sales Order in order to add a line item to a sales order.

    Hi,

    It simply means relating one to another for e.g. Accounts and Notes i.e. there should be Append Privelege on Notes and Append To Privelege on Accounts.
