Create Enterprise Pool failes - R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hallo,

i tried to install an OCS2007R2 EE Server.
Preparing the Active Directory was successful.
But when i started "Createing Enterprise Pool" it failed with the Error:

No mapping between account names and security IDs was done (0x80070534)

on the "Add NTFS Permissions (Read/Write)" Step.

I run the Cearte Pool Task on the SQL2k8 Server (Win 2k8)
an the File Shares are on my OCS Enterprise Server (Win 2k8)
Permissions are set for the RTCUniversalServerAdmin Group an the Domain Admin.

has anyone an Idea why this happens ?

  • I also had this problem in my test environment.
All Windows 2008 machines and AD 2008 native mode.

Solution was to install in Windows 2003 AD Domain on Windows 2003
I have not found any solution yet to the problem for Windows 2008 only servers

  • For OCS it is not a problem but if you have only Windows 2008 DC's then you run into the problem stated above
Do you have also Windows 2008 on all the DCs?

  • I run native 2008 x64 environment and this worked fine. I also found deploying most services via cmdline was more beneficial as i could see the script running and when/if it errored and where.

  • I tried to install it multiple times in Windows 2008 only AD and failed every time
Did not try the command line thow just used the wizard the same way as in Windows 2003 AD and there it works fine...
