Child Plug-in. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Everybody,

I created one child plug-in on lead creation entity. I thought of it will get executed when we are converting a email to lead but it is also getting executed when I am going to create a lead record directly.

Could anybody please give any suggestions on child Plug-ins except CompoundCreateStatement. Please provide me one example on child plug-ins?

and One more question is on how we are configure the plug-in assemblies?. Do we have configuration file existed outside?.

    Please me ASAP.

    Regards,
    Pradeep

  • Hi Pradeep,
Even i am little confused about the concept of child pipeline May be this post would be helpful in understanding it.

For your second question, we could provide configuration information while registering the plugin.

  • Hi Rana,

Thanks for your reply. According your post , we are going to put the configuration data in the Unsecure configuration and I think its better idea in case of the Database deployment. In disk based deployment wheather do we have any existed config file is there? or we need to create the configuration file for ourselves?.

As per my understanding, In Case of Child PLug-in's we can create for specific entities only.
