Alerts need to INCLUDE the Name of the Forum RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just received an Alert. Of course it contained a link to the original Post.

However, the OP was in the Moderators' Forum, and the Moderators' Forum requires that one be logged in in order to access the Forum. When clicking on the link in the Alert, a NEW Window opens (of course, in that NEW Window I was NOT logged in), and an error occured. I was left knowing that somewhere there was a thread, but I didn't know where to find it after I had logged in. I had to return to Outlook, locate the Alert, and again click on the link.

If the Alert contained the Name of the Forum, I could choose to navigate to the Forum and locate the Thread by Subject. Without the Forum Name, and with the behavior of not opening a thread in the Moderators Forum unless currently logged in, it was just yucky.

Please add the Thread Name to the Alert, as well as the Thread Subject.

  • You’re totally right Arnie, I’ll see when we can get this added – this would really help.
