Hello Wisconsin52,
The current installation of a nongenuine Volume License for Office 2003 Professional was NOT preinstalled by Dell.
It is much more probable that your Dell may have come from Dell with a Trial Version of Offcie 2003, or if you paid extra for it, an OEM license for an edition of Office 2003. At some point that original installation may have been overwritten by the current nongenuine installation. This frequently happens when the computer is taken to a shop for repair or for reinstalling Windows du to viruses or malware.
Please check the materials, the shipping documents, and the invoice that came with your Dell for evidence of an extra charge for Office. If you see that on your invoice or shipping documents, then you were also sent a set of CDs so that you can reinstall Office if necessary. Use these CDs to install a genuine Office after you uninstall the nongenuine office.
