SQL Reporting Services issue installing CRM 4.0 Server on Windows 2003 x64 virtual machine.

Question

I am trying to install CRM 4.0 Server on a fresh Windows 2003 x64 virtual machine.
I ran windows update and got all important updates.
I am following the directions in the Planning Guide and Install Guide
I installed IIS with all default options.
I then installed ASP.net
I then installed SQL Server 2008 with user authentication
I then logged in to the SQL management studio and started the SQL Agent.
I set up the permissions on the Active Directory OU object, I want to use.
When I install CRM 4.0, I get to the screen with all the checkmarks and one X with an error "Setup failed to validate specified Reporting Services Report Server http://CRMTEST/ReportServer. Error: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found."
What is wrong? Did something go wrong with the SQL install?
When I tried installing this on a server 2008 I followed pretty much the same procedure and CRM 4.0 installed but I had to do a few extra things for 2008. Under 2008 Server I had issues with the outlook client connecting and could not install the Roll ups for CRM 4.0 so decided to start with a fresh virtual machine since the 2008 server machine I was using for other things like a test web server.
Please let me know if you know a solution. Thank you for your time.

Can you browse to http://crmtest/reportserver?
If not, then run the sql server report configuration and configure. if it is configured you should then be able to browse to http://crmtest/reportserver

In addition to Alex's suggestion, you might find this article helpful. I've used it when running into issues with SQL 2008 installations.

Thank you. I ran the configuration again and seems that the report server was at http://crmtest/Reports_CRMTESTSQLSERVER/
I changed it to http://crmtest/reportserver
However it asks for a user/password when I go to http://crmtest/reportserverIf I put in my user/password it lets me browse to http://crmtest/ReportServer
I am still getting the same error when I try to install CRM 4.0 which is "Setup failed to validate specified Reporting Services Report Server http://CRMTEST/ReportServer. Error: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found."
How do I get rid of the user/password request? Anonymous access is enabled in IIS. How would I fix this so I can install CRM 4.0?
