Key has been used too much? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have this problem atm. I first reactivated my CD key after gettign a new motherboard on the computer (old one was falling apart) and now I got myself a new HDD so after I re-install windows XP home I have to activate the key agin. Then on the same day I install some drivers to make my computer like it was before but now after I reboot after the drivers have been installed I have to re-activate the CD key agin. Now it says I have used it too many times and cant use it anymore to prevent piracy.

My Windows XP is 100% Legal but I ask: Do I get my key activated? if not, Do i need to pay for a new one? if so im going to use Linux for god knows how long cause money doesn't just rain down from the sky and those CK keys cost alot if you ask me.

Please answer this asap cause my windows is locked and I cant really do anything atm.

    Thanks
