Error Code 0x80004005 Microsoft Security Essentials RRS feed

  • I have an XP system and just recently started to notice that the MS Essentials (MSE) was not actively running  when it should have been scanning.

    I tried restarting and received the  Error Code 0x80004005.  When i look at the task manager i notice that the process is running but still the tool is not able to work.

    I un-installed the tool and reinstalled the MSE and it works for a day and then does the same scenario begins again thing   

    Assistance with this problem would be very helpful.
