  • Question

  • We have several contacts that are no longer with an account.  How can we delete the contact without losing the activities, notes and history?  I read somewhere that I should deactiviate the contact.

  • Correct.  I would recommend de-activating the contact.

The relationsihps between contact and phone specify the behaviour of deletion.  Out of the box they are configure to cascade deletion between contacts to activities (such as contacts to phone calls).  However, i'd recommend disabling the contact instead of modifying the relationship cascading properties.
