Event Management Accelerator error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I installed the Event Management Accelerator in our Dynamics CRM 4.0 install but when I try to browse the sample portal, I receive the following error.  Why does this happen and how do I fix it?

    Thanks!

  • You'll need to post to the Accelerator site for assistance.

  • Hi wsual,

I had this same issue. the problem was that the two .dll files in the /bin directory of the portal site where 32bit and I was trying to run it on a 64bit server. If you are trying to do the same thing then you need to go to the CRM 4.0 SDK and grab the 64bit versions of Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.dll and Microsoft.Crm.SdkTypeProxy.dll and replace the 32bit ones in the /bin directory on the portal site.

The dlls that you will need are located in the SDK in the directory /bin/64bit.

here are the resources that led me to this answer:

    I hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the information.  We have discontinued our development at this point as the interested parties are looking at a different product for event management but we may very well return at some point.
