Error when installing WHS RRS feed

  • Question

    I have tried installing WHS on a brand new server, with top specs. After getting through the hard drive format sequence, I get a blue screen with the following;

    'A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Check for viruses..etc"

    STP: 0x0000007B (0XF789EA94, 0XF789EA94, 0X000000, 0X000000)"

    Any ideas what can cause this issue, and how i can fix it?

  • Bo,

    Search is your friend, but basically, it sounds as those you probably haven't installed the required drivers twice. The SATA drivers are needed both for the graphical portion of the installation, and then again during the text mode portion. You need to press F6 to install them in the text mode.

    Alternatively, you could try to change the BIOS from SATA drives, to ATA compatible, or similar.
