Cannot open recovered files after crash RRS feed

    I recovered my .iso and .avi files from my system drive after a WHS crash. I had to use Testdisk to recover them because the drive could not be recognized by Windows after the crash.  Now I cannot open the files.  I know they are full-size etc. but they appear to be corrupt for some reason.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Files in your shares (D:\Shares\etc.) aren't your "files", they're just pointers to the actual files, which are elsewhere on your system disk or on secondary disks in server storage. Please see this FAQ. for more details.
