70-461 System Tables RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey everyone. I am studying for my 70-461 exam and had recently taken a practice exam which had querying system tables (like sys.dm_tran_database_transactions). I am primarily using the toolkit for my studying and while it talks about some of these system tables, it doesn't appear to cover system tables in depth. I was wondering if anyone knew if I should put much focus on this subject, or should i not worry about it? I want to be prepared as much as I can for the exam, and anything I need to know outside of the exam I plan on working on after I pass it. Thanks in advance!

Answers

  • sys.dm_tran_database_transactions is actually a Dynamic Management View and not a System Table.

You will need to know which ones are used to assist with optimizing queries and tables.
