  • Hi

    I READ somewhere that we do not require email router if we are using outlook..
    could someone clarify this point

  • Hi Karan,

        That is correct. You can configure a users account to send and recieve emails via the MS CRM Outlook client. To do this you will need to go into settings -> Administration -> Users. Then open the users record and in the Email Access Configuration section set the Incoming and Outgiong to MS CRM for Outlook client. 

    Please note the if you use these settings then the user will not be able to send emails from the webclient if the outlook client is not installed on his machine.

    could u tell me in brief the benefits of using exchange server...
    m pretty confused over it as m a fresher to implement exchange in mscrm..
    though i am workin on mscrm for 2 yrs..
