  • Question

  • Page 343 of Mike Hotek's  book states the service account needs 4 things to start SQL Server 2008.  On of these is :

Log On As A Service Authority

What does that mean?  I cannot find anything on this.

  • Hi,

Service accounts usually need some specific rights/privilages to operate.

How to add the Log on As A Service right to an account:

Many installers will automaticly grant the service account that you specify the required additional privilages.
