Win7 Ultimate Genuine problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a genuine windows 7 ultimate.

But yesterday I get a message saying that it is an illegal copy.

I went to <validate now> option and download legitcheck.hta but it is doing nothing.

Trying to run it I get

This is my working machine and have my work on it, and don't want to loose anything (data or time)

I said to the seller, it gave me another key but the same problems exists.

Finally, they suggest to "Go online and solve now" option in order to fix it.

Please help in solving the problem ASAP.

  • To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool

(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

     Once saved, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.

To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.x

      - in your own thread, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

  • Couldn't and shouldn't you run a SFC with the scannow and autofix flags first to verify all the system files are checked before wasting time.

Also did you verify the TIME/DATE and ZONE are correct.
