Outlook client unable to go online RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a user who has Microsoft CRM client for outlook installed.

Sometimes, after going offline, he is unable to go online again.

Is there any solution for this?

    we're on CRM 4.0.

  • It might be the network issue, maybe the client try to bring in bulk of data to CRM server.

To get more information, run CRM Outlook Diagnostics Wizard when you have the problem.

  • Also check the event log on his PC, that will record any error messages.

  • The error doesn't say much.

It says: "An unknown error has occured. Retry the action. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."

    So it doesn't say much.

I ran the diagnostic tool and clicked on the button to fix the problem but it didn't fix it.

    Any idea?

    Hi again..

Did you upgrade CRM 3.0 client to 4.0 and after got this error?

Some times there can be conflicts in upgrade, I would recommend that you uninstall CRM client, delete MSCRMClient folder from registry and delete Microsoft CRM folders, the 3.0 and 4.0. Make new installation of the Client.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your reply but this installation is a fresh CRM 4.0 one. It's not a CRM 3.0 upgrade.

    Any other idea?

  • When you get this error, check event viewer for logs and post it here.
