Website being crawled by Google, not Live RRS feed

  • Question

  •

A client of us has a website on which they sell car insurances: http://www.netpolis.nl.

The site is performing in Google very well on the highly competitive keyword "autoverzekering" (car insurance) as wel on "autoverzekering" (car insurances).

However, in Live search the site is not indexed at all! (site:www.netpolis.nl)

When I look into the Webmaster Tools of Live Search, there is completely no data about spider visits. They do report having backlinks to the website. When I look at some webanalytics data, we do receive spider visits from MSNBot (30 visits in April 2008)

As far as my knowledge goes, the site has never been indexed at all. I resubmitted the website today, and added the location of the sitemap on the website in the Webmaster Tools. The robots.txt doesn't contain any lines that could block the MSNbot from indexing the website.

Did our client get a penalty of some sort, or are there other issues that prevents them from being indexed?

I hope that anyone has a brilliant idea about a solution Wink

    Hi,

Your site is showing as blocked.  Be sure to review our Guidelines for successful indexing to ensure that you are not doing anything that would get your site blocked in the future.

In the webmaster tools there is a link to submit your site for reinclusion if it is blocked or if you suspect that your website was incorrectly identified as spam, please do the following:

    1. Open the Live Search Site Owner support form.
    2. In the boxes provided, type your name and e-mail address.
    3. In the What type of problem do you have? list, select Other.
    4. In the box provided, describe the issue, including the following information:
      • The search words
      • The URL
      • and request re-inclusion

  • Thanks for the quick reply!

I filed a reinclusion request Tuesday morning and by the end of the day I got a reply that they are going to investigate it
