brought a seagate external hard drive it was support by mac and windows it works on my mac but i can't open it on my windows 8 computer can anyone help

I suggest you to ask your question in the Windows Answers Forum at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows.
Did you check the hard disk's file system? Maybe it's formatted with a file system not supported by Windows. Are you able to access the disk by using another Windows PC?Bye.
