Invaled productcode - I have no access to windows, only internet exporer

Question
-
I cannot enter windows (Vista Home Basic), only internet explorer. When I start up, a screen pops up that asks me to enter another productcode.
I already tried to fix it by running slui.exe 3 and slui.exe 4.(by opening CDM). But it gives me the same screen as when I start up.
The computer does not recognize the productkey that sticks on the back of the computer.
Thank you very much for your help and comments.
Best,
Laurens

Hello, Laurens2000
Try the following steps to reset the licensing store:
1. Open an Internet Browser window.
2. Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
3. Find the file CMD.exe
4. Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
5. Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
6. Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
7. Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
8. Type: cd %windir%\system32
9. Type: net start slsvc
10. Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
11. Restart your computer twice.
12. You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate. Be sure to use the key from the sticker on the side or bottom of the PC and activate using the By Phone method.

Hi David,
Thank you very much for the help. Everything went right exept for step 10. He tells me he cannot find VBS. I rebooted the computer twice and now he is asking me to reinstall windows with a disk. The problem is I did not get a disk of windows, nor a recovery disk when I purchased the computer. Is there another way to recover? (I tried pushing F 11 when I start up). I do still have access to windows explorer.
Thank you very much for your help!
Best
Laurens
ps: computer is a HP 550 Notebook (windows vista home basic)

You will have to consult your documentation or contact HP to learn what key you would need to use to boot into the recovery partition, assuming you have one, or to get replacement recovery media.
It seems like there is an underlying problem and a reinstall may be necessary.
For further troubleshooting, I would have to recommend contacting the WGA Support at one of the links below:
