Contact in multiple Accounts. RRS feed

  • The CRM contemplates that an account have multiples contacts.

    Sometimes we need a contact is available in vaious accounts. Is it possible? Thanks.

  • You can only join one contact to one account in standard. But as a workaround I suggest to add the contact to the account he/she is working for (or the most he/she is working for) and then use the new connection function to join this contact to other accounts in different roles (e.g. a consultant that works for different accounts). This way you won´t have duplicate contacts.

    Do you mean is it possible to have a contact that is related to multiple accounts other than just the 'parent account'?

    If so - you could create a custom 1:N relationship in the same way that the 'Sub-Contacts' relationship is created:

    From the contact form:

    Customize(Tab)-Customize Entity->1:N relationships->New:

    Related Entity: Account

    Display Name: Accounts

    Alternatively, you could use the 'Connections' pre-existing relationship to add a connection to multiple accounts.
