Microsoft Office Professional 2007 - Activation notification star + Repeat Activation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi - Ive recently bought a copy of Office Professional 2007 from ebay. When i start the program there is a dialog box that comes up that has squares instead of text and has two buttons - i click the left one and it takes me to a chinese windows site. I change the language to english and it says validation sucessful everytime. There is also a black and white windows activation in the taskbar - which is all in squares also. Ive included the report below and  I also have a picture of the dialog box if you want it. Where do I go from here if this is not a genuine copy.

  • Hello dssau2006,

First off, if your Windows/Browser Language setting are set to a non-chinese language and you are not currently located in China, you should not be directed to a Chines "Validation" website.  Is the website Microsoft.com? If not, then don't trust the "validation sucessful".

The above Diagnostic Report you can trust, and it says that your Office was installed using an Invalid Product Key.  An Invalid key is one that was created by someone other then Microsoft.  The key is designed to look and act like a genuine key, but is not. In other words, Microsoft did not make or sell this key.  I have a feeling that the Chines "Validation" website is just a Fake site to make you think your software is Genuine when it is not.

I Highly Recommend returning the software and demanding a refund or if that fails, work with eBay to get back your money.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS
