How to restore a second or data drive in WHS RRS feed

  • Question

  • My second drive (D:) has died.  My boot drive (C:) is in good shape.  I've read all the restore information, but they always pertain to the boot drive failure.  My connection software runs fine on this machine.  I understand the need to use the WHS restore CD to boot from when a boot drive dies, but this is not the boot drive.  Can the data drive (D:) be restored accessing the WHS console on the same machine?  I can not find this information anywhere.  Can someone explain to me?

Any help would be most appreciated!

    TIA,

Yes, firstly replace the faulty drive with a new one.

Then using the Windows Home Server Console, open the backup of the old D drive and then just copy and paste the contents onto your new D drive.
