After BSOD, Reactivation (Product Key) is Needed Again?

Question
-
Hello,
I got my laptop with Windows Vista on it without a CD for installing or anything. Like many others I had a problem with Microsoft Office, and my own product key appeared to be used. Because of that, I found another Product Key on the net.
After some time when my McAfee subscription ended, I got Blue Screen od Death and many other problems. Now (and last few weeks) blue screen suddenly stopped and now I'm asked to activate windows because my Product Key is invalid and I can choose to use the phone system, use my laptop with reduced func. or type a new product key.
What must I do?
Thanks.

Hello arsen_roki,
I do not understand how your Office Product Key problem has anything to do with your current Windows product key issue.
Office and Windows are two different products that use two different types of Product Keys. A Windows Product Key will not work in Office and an Office Product key will not work with Windows.
So at this point, if I understand your post, you had to reinstall Windows but your product key is not being accepted.
First off, please
download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this linkhttp://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread.
If you do not have access to the Start Button:
1) Login to Vista and click the Use Windows with reduce functionality option .
2) Type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 into the browser address bar.
3) A window will come up asking if you want to “Run” or “Save”, Select “Run”
4) When the program runs, click the “Continue” button, then click the “Copy” button.
5) Return to this threadhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/thread/bd559355-87ae-4865-b414-9ec64c3b450f.
6) In a reply post, paste the Diagnostic Report.
As for the completly seperate Office issue, please create a thread in the Office forum (http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuineoffice/threads) to troubleshoot that issue.
Thank you,

By the way, I didn't reinstall my Windows. I had a lot of problems connected to Blue Screen of Death, and then suddenly one day it transferred from a blue screen problem to this product key problem.Wednesday, April 21, 2010 1:24 PM
