How do you get help for a product key this is valid but the software says it is not? I don't want to pay for support so can someone help? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 and I am reinstalling this since I had to wipe my computer clean and start over due to some Windows issues.  I have the original box and product key and have never installed this on any other computer.

  • Hello rbusmail,

In order to receive the best support, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click the "Continue" button, click the "Copy" button, then paste the report into your post.

Office Enterprise 2007 is not a retail product in the sense that Microsoft does not package the Enterprise edition of Office in the clear plastic swing-open case, so if you have an "original box and product key" it's very likely that these are counterfeit and that you are a victim of counterfeit software.

Can you be more specific about the problem you have encountered?
