A way to see how many users are on CWA vs. MOC Client? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a good way to see how many users are actively connected to Communicator Web Access? And even better, can I monitor how many people are connected through the Edge server? I've found that the performance tab in the OCS snap-in is extremely lacking in information.

  • You can add any of the many OCS-related performance counters to that performance tab to gather additional info.  Because it's not a static change I find it best to simply create a new Performance Monitor session and save it as a dedicated file.

I don't think there is a way to decern between clients connected via CWA and client on separate workstations.  But if you want to see the number of active connections via Edge, simply view this counter on the Edge server itself:

    LC:DATAPROXY - 01 - Client Connections
DataProxy - 015 - Verified Client Connections Currently Active

  • hi
Agree with Jeff, you can add new performances from the "User Session Service" to monitor how many active sessions.
You can choose the Performence tab -->chose the "+"in the tool bar --> choose the CWA-03-user session service --> choose which you want to monitor --> add them
You will check out easily what you what to know by the performance.
    The same as edge server.

    hi Bruno
I think the Number of actve users is not only includes the users via CWA, but also include the OC client, does it?
If there anything i misunderstand you, please tell me.
    Thank you.

  • Click on your pool and go to "Database" tab. Click on "Go" button for you required information. Make the same in your Edge.
