OCS R2 Installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I am in the process of installing OCS R2 in preparation to migrate users from R1, any time I try and activate any of the web components (which is the whole reason for me upgrading) I get the Failure [0xC3FC200D] One or more errors were detected
error and if I drill down to the actual error it is in the Determining whether the application has already been activated. section and the item with the error is: AppServer.GetAppState and the error itself is:
    Server FQDN: tdcp-ocsfe-01.ad.mydomain.com
    Server Name: TDCP-OCSFE-01
    SAM Account Name: TDCP-OCSFE-01$
    Domain Member: True
    Domain: ad.mydomain.com
    Domain Admin: True
    Domain Settings: Ready
    Forest Settings: Ready
Server Domain State: 0x321 (DomainMember | DomainAdminLogon | DomainPrepped | DomainAddedToRoot)
    DN: CN=TDCP-OCSFE-01,OU=OCS,OU=Corp\/Admin,OU=Servers,OU=Tigard,OU=Oregon,OU=US,OU=NA,DC=ad,DC=mydomain,DC=com
A call to a subtask failed.: The call to subtask AppServer.GetAppState failed with hr=80005000
Suggested Resolution: See further details about the task in this log.

  • This was caused by having a "/" in an OU name that the server was in.
