    Hi,

     

    My HP laptop (JOE) connects to my LAN via a D-Link router. The laptop is running Vista Ultimate x64. The Network display on Vista reports that in addtion to JOE there is also a ghost computer called JOE-OC on the LAN. Even a third ghost called JOE sometimes appears.

     

    The laptop is a new system (2 weeks old).  HP support has no clue.

     

    Can you help?

    This "ghost" appears due to a trick that OneCare uses to enable the printer sharing feature in OneCare on a Vista machine. It can't be removed.
