TWO RINGS TO VOICE MAIL RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just purchased an HTC Touch Diamond on Sprint. The phone came with Win Mobile 6.0. When 6.1 was downloaded, I discovered there was no dialog box to set the number of rings to go to voice mail. There appears to be no way to set the phone to more the 2 rings to voicemail. I loose or have to redial most incomming calls. If this is a bug, please fix it ASAP
    Thanks...

  • Thanks for posting your question. I don't have a HTC Touch Diamond but let's see if the Moderators do. Let's see if  others have a suggestion for changing the number of rings to voicemail. I'm marking this as answered just for tracking purposes but will make sure that all suggestions can be added here since this thread stays open for ongoing dialog.

  • As far as I know, the time before a call rolls to voicemail on Sprint is 23 seconds. This amount of time cannot be changed.

  • Thanks Jack. You're right. This confirmation is also posted on the Sprint website for the HTC Touch Diamond device:

"How do I set the number of rings for voicemail?
The time before a call rolls to voicemail is 23 seconds. This amount of time cannot be changed. However, your model of Sprint PCS phone allows you to change the ringer type. You may be able to select a ringer that reduces the number of rings you hear before an incoming call rolls to voicemail.
For details about setting up and changing your ringers, refer to the user guide for your phone."
