How to Integrate 3com NBX v3000 with OCS 2007 r2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently 3com released a new firmware version (6.5.x) for their NBX line of telephony systems. I saw a post dated a while back asking for help with integration with an NBX system but no one had a solution. I have seen http://www.postcti.com/postcti.html#SIPmerge as an option but the compnay is VERY difficult to contact and I do not feel I can realy upon them for support.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Did you check if the 3Com NBX system is listed under Microsoft Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program? This allows integration of qualified IP-PBX or PSTN/SIP gateways to connect directly with OCS via Direct SIP.

    Hope this helps. Thanks.

  • If its any help, our VX series true multipath gateways have successfully interconnected and deployed with 3COM (VCX via SIP), enabling simplified migration with OCS R2. Without going into too much detail, the VX is providing much more than simply providing a mechanism to deliver/receive calls to/from OCS Enterprise Voice. Migration of users between 3COM and OCS EV leverages the information contained in Active Directory.
Not sure about your location, however NET (www.net.com) is present in quite a few regions globally, and have a good partner eco system.
