Widows 7 Updates 2-26-13 killed ie9 RRS feed

  • Question

  • After automatic updates on Tuesday, IE9 stopped working. IE9 would open then say that it had encountered a problem and had to restart. This put IE9 into a loop of trying to reload my home pages and the shutting down again. I had to use Task manager in order to exit out of IE9.   I had to do a system restore so that IE9 would work, as "Mr. Fix It" didn't.  This only put off the problem, as auto updates loaded the same updates the next night. I had to uninstall IE9, forcing a rollback to IE8. I tried to upgrade back to IE9 but jumped ahead to IE10.
