email router issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Had to restore a backup of our CRM 2011 onto a new server. CRM itself is good, but I can't get the email router to send emails. When I hit test on a user I get:

Incoming Status: Failure - The account does not have permission to impersonate the requested user

I'm guessing that the account the email router is using to run (local system account) doesn't have theis privlidge on the Exchange server since it's a new CRM server. How do I fix this? I haven't played around with system accounts.

Answers

  • Generally the error is received when the impersonation rights are not correctly implemented on the Exchange side. I did find two more explanatory articles on how to do this on the Exchange side:
    Configuring Exchange Impersonation

    Allow Mailbox Access
