MGA validation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Carey Frisch told me to do this.  I have a silver icon in my tray that keeps saying my computer is at risk, as I am not "genuine".  Ran MGA Diagnostic tool, here is info:  My computer is from Dell, updates seem to have been download as I cked my auto updates.  Have spent many hours trying to fix this thru a couple of MS help spots.  Am tired of messing with it.  Please provide help!!

    Thank you,

    Clarice

  • Not getting me rolling!!!  Did not work!  It's 103 in Sacramento today and I am hot and tired of this.  And guess what, I just downloaded the windows defender update thru my auto updates!!  So please find a solution.  This not genuine stuff is the pits!!  Also, when re-booting If I don't pick "get genuine now" it messes up my system.  Error message after error message.  When I re-boot, pick "get genuine", go to the site that says "it's not available", close that down, then and only then can I open anything else.

  • Well, I'm not quite sure.  I had read this, and granted not an overly experienced computer problem solver, your above link, has about three choices.  My WGA version does not say either of those things, and when I clicked that other link to validate, and did it (and I had tried this before posting here), and re-booted my computer, it still has the silver thingy in my tray, and still says, not genuine.

  • Choice 3 mentions "Unknown" signature type.

    That should get ya rolling!
