How to restrict users from using live meeting RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we have implemented OCS 2007 in our company and everything is working fine. Due to bandwidth constraints, we would like to deploy live meeting on selected user and accordingly give permissions. I have created a policy which doesn’t allow participating in the live meeting and setup on few test users but still users can use live meeting session.

Is there any other way to restrict users to use live meeting.

  • Few different ways.  A GPO to restrict the EXE would be simple and easy.  A GPO only deploying the LM client to the needed users (or a GPO security filtered by a security group) would also prevent the LM client from being on their systems.

Additionally, you can use OCS's global policies to disable web conferencing and enable it, but this requires setting on individual users which policy they are to use.
