  • Question

  • I was greatly anticipating the release of Windows 10. I installed it, played with it, and liked it less as time went on. So I decided to go back to Windows 7. To my dismay, I found that MICROSOFT had decided that after 30 days I couldn't go back, even though all the original data was on my hard drive. They said something about some stuff that the install created had been deleted.

To me, this sheer extortion: At the very least a popup asking if I wanted to free up the space would have been appropriate.

I have suffered through the upgrade madness from Win 95 to Win 10. No more. I will become proficient in Linux and tel MS to bug off.

  • Worst case you should be able to clean install it. They'll help you over here with that.
