    In my "Home"-Forum, each time i edit a post, a new line ("edited by .. on .. why) gets added to the post. I also have to provide a reason(!) each time i correct e.g. a typo.
    I thought this was rather annoying, but it was the same in all forums. But i just relized that e.g. that does not happen in this forum here.

    So i guess one of these behaviors is a bug?

    AFAIK, the mandatory reason for an edit and the multiple edits appearing have been noted as bugs in some threads but no timeframe for a fix was given.

    Also, again AFAIK, you'll only see information about a post being edited if you're a moderator in that forum. This has also been noted as a bug somewhere.

    Yeah, hopefully this gets fixed soon. I'd rather see a whole bunch of 'edited by' lines rather than zero...

    If we're discussing this, i think displaying the last edit should suffice. Some people (including me) have the habit of editing a post a few times after posting it. Sometimes correcting typos, but most of the time fixing the format, because the editor is not really WYSIWG.
