Hello,
I have just re-install my OS (windows 7) due to HD failure. The activation key has been accepted but it pops up the message that my copy is not genuine. Moreover the update is not working properly, it is not even showing the update history.

YOu have a major problem with file mismatches – and unfortunately it’s one which we have been unable to solve in this forum, but seems to be associated at least in some instances with the use of drive-cloning software which is not fully Win7 compatible.The usual ‘solution’ is either a repair install of the OS using a Retail DVD, or a full nuke&pave.I see that your PC is using an MAK Volume-licensed version of the OS – I assume therefore that you have a System Admin (or are you he?) from whom you can get advice and assistance (and the necessary disks).
