create a report of leads sources related to product RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to create a report with

    1. the summary of all leads within the last month

    2. lead source effectiveness in percent/ source

    3. the number of leads of each product (which I added in the Lead entity)

How do I create that report in the report wizard? What colums do I pick in the end of the wizard?

And just to have a summary, why is that so complicated - I followed the steps in the thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/crm/thread/180fe84f-376f-4757-bc2c-a6eefe001f3c but it seems very complicated for a very basic request.

Thankful for all help I can get. I'm afraid this system will not be able to customize our needs.. :(

  • Hi Johan,

CRM Report Wizard is very good for simple reports but if you want to see all this information in one report than most probably you need to develop a custom report using SSRS in Visual Studio / Report Designer.

  • Hi Johan,

As Uamr suggested, Report wizard is for simple reports. There are a lot of things you cannot achieve using the report wizard. You can create a report by using the lead as a primary entity, group by source and then by product. choose any fields you want. choose aggreate function on any non-numeric field to get totalumber of leads on product and source level. I don't think it will give you a source effectiveness. But you can download the report and edit it to achieve this. there is also a built in lead effectiveness report, you can change that to include group by product.

Filtering (last 30 days etc) by changing the default filters once its created.

    I hope it helps.
