Are you entering a product key found on the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) label that came with your Microsoft Office CD?Friday, September 7, 2007 1:29 PM

I am also having this problem with my Microsoft Office 2007. I had downloaded a trial for school and then recently the military bought me the student version and every time it tells me to enter the product key it say it is invalid.Thursday, October 18, 2007 5:38 AM

I am having the problem also. During the first step of installation, it tells me to type key. I type it in and it says it is an invalid key. I am using it for my home computer. I have XP on my home computer. I don't see OEM anywhere. I bought it from Office Depot.

I uninstalled the old version and it still doesn't accept the password on the new version when I remove Office and install again. I searched my computer for all files and folders that have the words "office" or "word" in them and deleted them all. I uninstalled Office and tried again, no luck. If this is a problem maybe there should be a program on the disc that uninstalls all older versions and then installs the new one. Most of us out here are not computer smart. Or maybe I can just get my money back? Tell me what to do here...

I have the same problem.
I've confirmed that the "Office 2007 ready" laptop I purchased (ASUS) was only a trial version.
Problem is, is that the oem copy of Office 2007 (Student) I purchased with the system has no CD's included (expects it to be a "Office Ready" pc.
How can I download / order the proper software so this problem goes away?
Mark.
