using an XP/Vista hardware driver in Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to use a driver that was designed for XP/Vista on a WIn 7 64 bit computer. The driver is for an older Epson printer LDP2442 The printer is not in the Windows 7 Compatibility list. It's a USB interface to the printer interface board. Windows 7 installs some generic USB printer interface as soon as I plug the hardware in, which of course doesn t work. Can I do what I want to do? I'd rather not run in a Virtual XP compatibilty mode unless I have to.

    Thanks

This is probably in the wrong forum, but I didnt know where to put it.
